Add film to your digital package

I am a very experienced film photographer, using it for probably 95% of all my personal, non wedding work and I love to bring it to your wedding day to capture your photos in a timeless, analogue way. I shoot on a mixture or 35mm, medium and large format as well as Polaroids. You can read more about my film photography and add it to your package for a small supplement here.

"When I look over our wedding album we feel like we're seeing it through the eyes of our guests with moments we remember and scenes which we missed during the madness of the day"

—Andrew & Gemma

What to expect on the day

Your wedding day starts the moment the excitement creeps in in the morning. I work tirelessly throughout the day (almost as hard as you!) to document all the important parts, from the core memories like turning and seeing the bride for the first time on the aisle to the tiny details like the butterflies before the first dance.

From bridal prep to your ceremony, wedding reception, dinner, speeches, and after-party, I’ll flow through your order of the day with ease, ensuring I’m right there for all the vital moments.

My approach is a laid-back mixture of candid shots and posed photos so you have memories of how your guests enjoyed sharing the day, as well as the all-important shots of your bridal party, family, friends, and any other assembly of guests. I work responsively to your lighting, weather limitations, and venue opportunities to produce portraits that look like how it felt on the day. In the golden hour of sunlight, before the sun sets on your special day, we’ll capture the most magical images.

I’m a professional at making you feel at ease, and your directed photography sessions will feel like hanging out with a mate. My gentle direction will allow you and your guests to feel confident and natural, showing them in their very best light. I split your portrait sessions into two or three smaller sessions to make them feel more spontaneous and natural and take advantage of the beautiful changing light on the day.

Memories you can hold in your hand

Memories are the one thing that lasts after the sun sets on your wedding day. I want to make them tangible. Once your photos are ready to be viewed, you’ll receive a handful of highlights from the day as professional prints, along with a USB stick containing all your photos presented in a gift box you can treasure.

There’s something about physical photos and keepsakes that speaks to the sentimental in all of us. Your physical prints mean you can curl up on the sofa with your children to show them, take it down from the bookshelf now and then, and even pass it on later down the road.

You’ll also receive a link to the complete online gallery you can easily download, save in the cloud, or share with all those you want to remember the occasion. From this link, you and your loved ones can order professionally assembled albums and prints.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you based, and do you travel?

I am based in the North West of the UK, and I have travelled the length of the country as well as overseas to photograph people's special days. There’s nowhere I won’t go for a wedding. Try me.I love to travel and explore new places so there's nowhere I won't go for a wedding.

When will we get our photos?

I aim to deliver your final package in around six weeks, but it's often sooner, depending on the season and the demands of the lab. No matter what, I’ll keep you updated and endeavour to get your photos to you as soon as possible.

Why a USB? It's 2024!

Whilst I understand how technology moves on, analogue will never lose its value when it comes to sentiment. I want you to have something physical to hold once your images are ready, so as well as a digital gallery where you can download your images, you will also receive a beautiful wooden box complete with a USB containing all the photos as well as a small selection of prints to get you started.

How many pictures will we receive?

I am all about quality over quantity, so it’s more important to me to ensure you have all the best photos from your day, even if that means going over slightly. Generally, couples receive 400–600 fully edited, print-ready images from a typical 8-hour wedding.

How much deposit do I need to pay?

On booking I require a £300 deposit to secure your date with the balance due one calendar month before the wedding.

Wedding photographer vs. videographer, which do I need?

It really depends on how you want to remember your day. Most couples will say, and professionals will advise, that you need a photographer at the minimum, as nothing can replace the high-quality shots from those key moments like walking down the aisle, saying vows, speeches, and guests sharing their joy on the day.

Some couples also want a video to capture the essence of the day in motion. If this is you, I offer Super 8 video supplementary to photography. Let me know you’re interested in a wedding photographer and videographer package when you contact me.

How much does a wedding photographer and videographer cost?

It’s virtually impossible to put a number on videography and photography for a wedding as there are so many variables, such as duration, location, and the order of the day. Contact me for a detailed quote if you’d like photography and videography for your wedding day.

Do you need a photographer and videographer for wedding?

I recommend having a professional photographer at your wedding as standard to capture all the moments you want to remember. Having a videographer is certainly a bonus, but it all depends on your budget and what you want to get out of the experience. Contact me about wedding photographer videographer packages, and I can provide a quote for video coverage using Super 8 film.
